Europe Geography Games FAQ
How many countries are in Europe?▼
It depends how you count — commonly 44 to 51, depending on how transcontinental states like Turkey and Kazakhstan and microstates are treated. Our typing game uses a 42-country list; the learn section explains the different counts.
Which European flags are hardest to tell apart?▼
The classic confusions are Slovenia/Slovakia/Russia, the Nordic crosses, and Ireland vs Ivory Coast (reversed) or Romania vs Chad (nearly identical). Playing the Europe Flag Quiz repeatedly is the fastest way to lock in the differences.
Can I download the Europe data used here?▼
Yes — the learn section offers free CSV datasets of all European countries with capitals, plus regional groupings for Northern, Southern, Western, Central and Eastern Europe.
